1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how DocuBrief ("App"), developed by SnipNFix ("we", "us", or "our"), handles your data. DocuBrief is designed so document scanning, OCR, and AI analysis run on-device by default.

We do not send your scanned document text to third-party AI providers.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Data you create in the app

• • Scanned documents: Images, extracted text (OCR), summaries, red flags, action items, chat context, and translation results generated from your documents.
• • Document metadata: Titles, tags, categories, timestamps, and organization settings.

2.2 Device and account context

• • Device information: Device model, iOS version, and app version.
• • Subscription context: Trial/pro status used for entitlement and billing logic.

3. Where Data Is Stored

On your device: Document content and AI results are stored locally on your iPhone/iPad.

iCloud Sync (optional): If you enable iCloud Sync, your data syncs via Apple CloudKit to your personal iCloud account. We do not access your private iCloud container.

4. Third-Party Data Sharing

DocuBrief can share limited data with third parties only for specific features. We ask for permission before these transmissions and provide controls in app Settings.

4.1 Meta Platforms, Inc. (optional analytics)

• • What is shared: App events such as app opens, scans, exports, checkout/purchase events, and feature usage events (for example translation/chat usage), plus associated app/device context used by the SDK.
• • Who receives it: Meta Platforms, Inc. via the Meta/Facebook iOS SDK.
• • When shared: Only after you explicitly allow analytics sharing.
• • What is not shared: Your scanned document text and generated document summaries are not sent to Meta.

4.2 Apple services

• • CloudKit/iCloud: Used only if you enable sync.
• • StoreKit: Used for subscriptions and purchases through Apple.

5. Consent and Controls

• • In-app consent prompt: We show a Data Sharing Permissions screen before optional third-party sharing is enabled.
• • Settings controls: You can turn analytics sharing on or off at any time.
• • App Tracking Transparency:Where required, iOS tracking permission is requested by Apple's ATT framework.
• • Device permissions: Camera, photo library, notifications, and biometrics are optional and can be managed in iOS Settings.

6. How We Use Information

• • Core functionality: Scanning, OCR, searchability, summaries, translation, and chat assistance.
• • Account features: Sync, restore purchases, and subscription management.
• • Product improvement: Optional analytics.

We do not sell personal data to data brokers.

7. Third-Party Protection Standards

We require third-party providers we use for these features to apply privacy and security safeguards that are equal to or stronger than the protections described in this policy, as required by applicable law and contract.

8. Data Deletion

• • In-app: You can delete any document individually within the app.
• • Delete all data: You can delete all documents from Settings in the app.
• • iCloud: You can remove synced data from iOS iCloud storage settings.
