This Privacy Policy explains how DocuBrief ("the App"), developed by SnipNFix ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information. DocuBrief is a document scanner and manager designed to help you organize your personal and business documents.

By using DocuBrief, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide

• • Scanned Documents: Images and text extracted from documents you scan.
• • Metadata: Titles, tags, and categories you assign to documents.

2.2 Data Collected Automatically (On-Device)

• • Device Information: Device type, iOS version, and app version for troubleshooting.
• • Usage Patterns: Anonymous usage data (e.g., number of scans) mainly for on-device features.
• • Crash Data: Crash logs to help us fix bugs.

3. How Your Data is Stored

Local Storage: All scanned documents and metadata are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit your documents to our own servers.

iCloud Sync: If enabled, data syncs via Apple CloudKit to your personal iCloud account. This ensures your documents are available across your devices. We cannot access your iCloud data.

4. How We Use Your Information (On-Device Intelligence)

• • Text Recognition (OCR): To extract text from images so you can search and copy it. This happens entirely on your device.
• • AI Summaries: To generate summaries and action items from your documents. This processing is performed locally on your device or via secure system APIs that do not share data with third parties.

5. Device Permissions

• • Camera: Required to scan documents.
• • FaceID / TouchID: Required to secure the app and protect your documents from unauthorized access.
• • Photo Library: Optional, if you want to import existing images to scan.
• • Siri & Shortcuts: Optional, to enable voice commands.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your data. Your documents never leave your device unless you explicitly choose to share or export them (e.g., emailing a PDF).

7. Data Deletion

• • In-App: You can delete any document individually within the app.
• • Complete Deletion: Uninstalling the app removes local data. You can delete iCloud data via iOS Settings → iCloud → Manage Storage → DocuBrief.
