CashFlowly uses iCloud to keep your data in sync across all your devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac) seamlessly and securely.
How Sync Works
CashFlowly uses Apple's CloudKit technology. This means the sync happens at the system level:
- Changes are pushed to iCloud immediately when you have internet
- Other devices receive changes automatically in the background
- If you're offline, changes are queued and synced once you're online
Requirements
- Signed in with the same iCloud account on all devices
- iCloud Drive enabled
- CashFlowly enabled in iCloud settings
Privacy & Security
We take your privacy seriously. Because we use CloudKit:
- Private DB: Your financial data is stored in your private iCloud container.
- We Can't See It: We (the developers) do not have access to your database. Only you do.
- Apple Security: Your data is protected by Apple's industry-leading security standards.
Troubleshooting Sync
If data isn't appearing on another device:
- Check internet connection on both devices
- Ensure both are logged into the same iCloud account
- Kill and restart the app on both devices
- Check if iCloud storage is full
