Siri Shortcuts & Spotlight Search

CashFlowly integrates with Siri and Spotlight, letting you add entries with your voice and find your data from anywhere on your device.

Siri Voice Commands

Use these commands with Siri:

• "Add cash in CashFlowly" — Record income
• "Add expense CashFlowly" — Record an expense
• "Check balance CashFlowly" — View current balance
• "Today's summary CashFlowly" — See today's transactions

How Siri Works

1. Activate Siri ("Hey Siri" or hold the side button)
2. Say your command
3. Siri will ask for details (amount, category, etc.)
4. Confirm to save

Siri uses your default book. Set your default in CashFlowly settings if you have multiple books.

Spotlight Search

CashFlowly indexes your data for Spotlight search. Swipe down on your home screen and search for:

• Book names — Jump directly to a book
• Entry amounts or notes — Find specific transactions
• Contact names — See their transaction history

Tap any result to open CashFlowly directly to that item.

Setting Up Siri

Siri Shortcuts are enabled automatically. Make sure:

• Siri is enabled in your device settings
• CashFlowly has Siri permission (Settings → CashFlowly → Siri & Search)

You can view and customize shortcuts in the app: Settings → Siri & Spotlight.

Shortcuts App Integration

CashFlowly actions appear in the Shortcuts app, letting you create custom automations. Examples:

• A shortcut that logs your daily coffee expense with one tap
• An automation that reminds you to log expenses at end of day
• A widget that shows your current balance

Tips

• You can say amounts naturally: "fifty dollars" or "twenty five fifty"
• Works with CarPlay for logging expenses while driving
• Use Siri when your hands are full—after a purchase, while cooking, etc.
